Acrylic Painting

Learn inspiring new acrylic techniques and approaches to painting with Ros Blackburn.

  • 10am – 3pm
  • Bring your own materials to include: acrylic paint, brushes, a water spray bottle, roll of paper towel and a pre-painted canvas, in a colour or gesso painted 3 or 4 days beforehand.
  • Tea, coffee, biscuits supplied
  • Please bring a packed lunch for a half hour lunch break.

Use of Light in Photography

The Use of Light in Photography Collaborative Session with Brian Sanger

  • 10.30am – 2.30pm
  • Photographers are invited to a collaborative gathering investigating the effects of natural light in still life photography. Organised by local digital artist Brian Sanger, the emphasis will be on learning from each other and exchanging tips and tricks in an informal and friendly setting. Brian will share some of his recent successes and discoveries with still life photography and achieving a Tenebrism effect. As well as the sharing of ideas, this gathering will involve setting up and photographing some still life objects, and experimenting with different light settings.
  • Bring your own camera as well as 3 still life objects to photograph
  • Tea and coffee provided
  • Please bring a packed lunch for a half hour lunch break
  • Limited to 10 people
