Encaustic painting, using hot wax, is an ancient technique that is becoming increasingly popular with artists today as it is a very versatile medium and the results are immediate.
Wax adapts well to techniques related to printmaking, photography, painting, sculpture and mixed media and offers a multitude of possibilities.
This introductory workshop will provide students with the basics of getting started with encaustic painting, and covers safe working practices, essential equipment and materials, and a number of core encaustic techniques.
Numbers will be limited to 8 participants. Should you wish additional information or to secure a booking in the workshop, please contact me via email (jennifer.sadler@iinet.net.au) or phone 0437 917 143.
