Urban Couture 2017 – Workshops at JAG during March

During March 2017, Urban Couture is hosting a series of workshops (details below) for those who would like to learn the age old techniques of print-making across textiles or take an illustration master class in the studio at the Joondalup Art Gallery.   • Sunday 5 March, 10am – 2:30pm (Beau Est Mien – Screen Printing for Adults)
    Beau Est Mien is a printmaking studio and design store dedicated to the joy of creating, based in Northbridge, Perth. It is a multi-use, dynamic, and creative space run by a tight-knit team of dedicated artists specialised in various printmaking techniques. Instead of travelling into Northbridge, be sure to register for these workshops in Joondalup
  • Sunday 12 March, 10am – 1:30pm (Beau Est Mien – Screen Printing for Teenagers)
  • Sunday 12 March, 1:30pm – 4:30pm (Elle Campbell)
    Straying from traditional art class structure, Elle will help you experience the challenging and free flowing nature of continuous line and still life drawing. This workshop promises to be part meditation and part drawing class.
  • Sunday 19 March, 10am – 2:30pm (Beau Est Mien, Block Printing)
  • Tuesday 28 March, 5-9pm (Nancy Riegelman, Illustration Master Class)
    Nancy Riegelman, a well-known fashion illustrator and author, is a professor of design and drawing at the Art Centre College of Design in Pasadena, California and FIDM in Los Angeles, California. Nancy has a world of experience to impart to budding illustrators and fashion enthusiasts alike. Take a peek at some of Nancy’s stunning work in this short youtube video.
