JCAA Members Selection Exhibition – Expressions of Interest

The JCAA Members Selection Exhibition has been introduced to encourage artists to challenge their artistic practice, to play, take risks, and explore new ideas, media and processes in both two and three dimensional works. Five artists will be selected from this exhibition to go forward to the JCAA Awards Exhibition in October. Each artist will be invited to create three further artworks for the awards exhibition where an overall winner will be chosen. (Prize $500) We are seeking diversity, innovation, new and different perspectives of art-making and technical excellence.

Please return the Expression of Interest Form to the gallery no later than Friday 24 July 2015 if you wish to participate. Download either the PDF version or the .DOC version of the application form.

Install and judging of work will take place from Monday 17- Wednesday 19 August.

Entry fee – $20.00 per artwork. Only one entry allowed per person. Please submit original artworks. If artworks are found to have been previously exhibited, these will be excluded from the awards. Size restriction: 2D/ wall pieces, 1 metre wide X 1.5 metres deep, Sculpture 50 X 50cm base, no height restriction. Although JCAA has an inclusive approach, it reserves the right to make final curatorial decisions.

Drop off of artworks: Friday 14th of August 12 pm – 6 pm. Joondalup Art Gallery, 4/48 Central Walk Joondalup 6027. Please contact us if this is not suitable.

Install and Judging: Monday 17th/ Wednesday 19th August.

Official Opening: 6.30 pm, Friday 21st August. All Welcome.

Opening times: Tuesday – Friday 10 am – 2 pm. If you are able to sit the exhibition from 6 – 9 pm on either a Friday or Saturday evening of the exhibition please tick below.
