Joondalup is The Lake that Glistens. With a significant history for the Mooro and Yued People of Noongar Country (Boodja), the Lakes would have been used as healing centres or in modern terms “hospitals” and “chemists”. Guest curators Peter and Miranda Farmer share the significance of the Joondalup area, inviting the community in Mooro and Yued Boodja (Joondalup), through education and understanding, to embrace the beauty of the natural surroundings and the journey both communities must now embark on.
The Lake that Glistens – Floor Talk
